The Minimum Wage Will Be Raised Next Year.
The CLA minister, Wang Ju-hsuan declared that the minimum hourly wage will be increased by 12% to NT$115 for sure.
As for the monthly wage, Wang Ju-hsuan revealed that according to the consumer price index and the economic growth last year, the monthly wage may head toward NT$ 20,000. Furthermore, the electricity and gas price increases in Taiwan recently will also be one of the important indicators for minimum wage adjustment. Labor group strongly exclaim that CLA should bring forward a standard formula for calculating the increase rate, and raise the wage based on the formula every subsequent year.
