Women Can Take 30-Days Tocolysis Leave and Keep Half Their Salary during the Leave.
The amendment of the Gender Equality in Employment Act, allowing women to take 30-days tocolysis leave and keep half their salary during the leave without affecting their attendance record, and comes into effect at the end of May.
The amendment also grants all employees family caring leave of seven days a year. Employers can choose not to pay employees for the day off, but employers are banned from denying workers the right to take the leave. The maximum penalty for violating the Act is NT100,000.
