The manpower demand reaches the utmost of the latest 3 years
According to the latest Manpower Demand Survey result provided by CLA, more than 25% employers are willing to hire more employees in the first quarter of 2010. It is estimated that the manpower demand in April will have 50.8 thousand more than in January. This is the best record in the latest 3 years.
Chief of Statistic Department of CLA pointed out that the manpower demand in labor market is increasing with the economy recovery. Especially for traditional industry and IT industry, the order amounts grow largely in global market this year.
Since the medium and long-term demand is optimistic, many companies raise large recruiting plan in the first quarter. For example, the TSMC is about to hire 3000 employees; the UMC is about to hire 1000 employees. The total manpower demand in Hsin-Chu Science Park is around 11 to 18 thousand people.
The survey by CLA indicates that 26% employers will increase manpower demand before May, 62% employers will remain the same, 5% will decrease, and 5.8% is not sure of the change. The top 3 increasing of manpower demand are 33 thousand people in Manufacturing, 8,400 people in Wholesale and Retail, and 4,700people in Support Services Industry, following by 3,400 people in Finance and Insurance, and 2,200 people in IT industry.
