Sample I
Employment agreement is effective from (date).
The Employment Ordinance stipulates that in the first month of employment either party can terminate the contract without notice. From the second to the third month the Company may at its discretion terminate your service with one week’s notice or payment in lieu of notice. This applies also if you wish to terminate the appointment within the probationary period; more notice is desirable.
Sample II
The term of your employment shall commence on (date), but this offer of employment shall automatically expire if not agreed to and countersigned by you within 10 days of the date hereof.
Your final appointment will be subject to your satisfactory performance in the position over a (number)-month probationary period. During the probationary period both employer and employee may terminate the contract with 10 days advance notice to the other party.
Sample III
You shall report to work on (date).
You are appointed initially on a probationary period of (number) days. Your employment with the Company may be terminated by either yourself or the Company. If the termination takes place during the probation period, (number) days notice or payment in lieu will be required.
Sample IV
Date of Commencement: (date)
You will be on probation for (number) months during which the termination of employment is one week’s notice by either party.
Sample V
Your employment will commence on (date) or an alternated date mutually agreed by you and the Company.
You will serve a probation period of (number) months. During the probation period, your employment with this company may be terminated without notice.
